Technology Service Administrator

Firm Overview
We are a mid-sized law firm providing sophisticated counsel to businesses and individuals in the
areas of entertainment, media and the arts, corporate, real estate, and litigation.


Role Title: Technology Service Administrator
Job Type: Full-time | Exempt  
Scheduling: 40 hour work week; on-site Monday through Friday. This position will require
some after-hours and weekend work.

Role Overview
The candidate must have legal IT industry experience, be organized, proactive, and provide
white glove service to attorneys and staff. This individual will be responsible for support various
applications and integrations as well as be the primary IT point of contact for our New York
office. It is essential that this individual is capable of resolving incidents and requests related to
the firm’s technology quickly, and efficiently. This individual will also be responsible to
providing secondary operational support for our New York office.


Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
IT Administrator
  • Provide technical support to attorneys and staff for hardware, software, and network-
    related issues.
  • Ensure the business is able to function at a high level of consistency and reliability by
    developing a deep understanding of how our technology is integrated (networks,
    systems, vendors).
  • Work in conjunction with the Director of IT and the Managed Service Provider to ensure
    firm systems are operational and secured, including but not limited to: responding to
    cybersecurity alerts, network vulnerability alerts, and security incidents and breaches.
  • Serves as subject matter expert in specialized legal applications and technology.
  • Create and manage user accounts and security access.
  • Manage firm IT training program.
  • Drafts and prepares documentation required for assigned projects.
  • Communicates planned and unplanned outages (software, hardware, network) to the
    firm.
  • Reconfigures/customizes applications as directed by management to meet user specifications.
  • Collaborates with vendors to assist in managing servers, workstations, and network
    configurations, troubleshooting system and network issues as needed.
  • Work with department and firm management to Initiate and launch new services as part of our strategy.
  • Performs other related IT tasks as required.
Operations Assistance
  • Coordinating office and workstation moves.
  • On-site support for copy and mailroom services.
  • Conduct post office runs; and other errands as requested.
  • Maintain cardkeys and other access needs to the space.
  • Ensure conference room is set up for meeting.
  • Ensure visiting offices are set up for visiting attorneys.
  • Provide backup coverage for Administrative Manager and Reception as required.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
  • Have in-depth knowledge of desktop applications, including Microsoft Office 365
    (including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Excellent customer service, follow-up and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, plan and manage multiple assignments across multiple
    projects or work streams.
  • Ability to work with various vendors to resolve issues in a timely manner, monitor and
    communicate resolution progress.
  • Ability to understand IT change control and change management, business process
    improvement, IT application management, incident management.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain a high level of
    professionalism.

    Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college or business school desirable.
  • 3+ years of experience with legal applications, such as iManage, Litera Suite, and macro
    systems.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT/help desk in a law firm environment.
  • Experience with user administration (M365, MFA, SharePoint/OneDrive, etc.).
  • Knowledge of networking and security protocols, including firewalls and antivirus software, to protect sensitive client data.
  • Knowledge of information governance and cybersecurity best practices.
